Chelsea Johnson, PMHNP-BC

Chelsea is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management. She believes effective mental health care begins with understanding the person behind the symptoms. Her approach is collaborative, practical, and individualized, with an emphasis on helping people understand their options and take an active role in their treatment.

Chelsea has experience caring for individuals with a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-and stressor-related concerns, and other complex psychiatric conditions.

She has particular interests in women's mental health, pregnancy and postpartum mental health, grief and loss, caregiver stress and burnout, and mental health during major life transitions. She recognizes that grief can accompany many kinds of change and loss—not only the death of someone we love—and is passionate about supporting people as they adjust to seasons of life that may look very different from what they expected.

Chelsea also has a special interest in caring for caregivers and people who are accustomed to caring for everyone around them, including parents, family caregivers, and helping professionals. She understands how easily a person's own mental health can become secondary when so much of their energy is devoted to others.

Her goal is to provide a space where patients can speak openly about what they are experiencing, ask questions without judgment, and work together to develop a treatment plan that is both evidence-based and realistic for their lives.

Special Interests:

Women's Mental Health • Perinatal & Postpartum Mental Health Grief & Loss • Caregiver Stress & Burnout • Major Life Transitions Anxiety • Depression • ADHD Mood Disorders • Trauma- & Stressor-Related Concerns

Karina Brandt, PMHNP-BC

Karina is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 28 years of nursing experience and a genuine passion for helping others. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Creighton University, and a Master of Science in Nursing from Spring Arbor University. She became board-certified as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in 2025.

Karina provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management, including experience with medication-assisted treatment for substance use disorders. Her areas of focus include mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-related conditions, ADHD, substance use disorders, and other mental health concerns.

Karina believes everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. She strives to create a warm, welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable sharing their concerns and know they don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. By listening closely and collaborating, she helps each person develop a treatment plan that reflects their needs, values, and goals.

Grounded in compassion, grace, dignity, and hope, Karina believes in meeting people where they are and honoring each person's unique story and life experiences. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside patients on their mental health journey, offering support and encouragement as they work toward healing, greater stability, and a renewed sense of well-being.
